Excerpts from Gor’s term service notebook. All nations must be patriotic, the small ones more than the big ones. We, more than the others… Half of living is to die with honour. The world, the homeland, freedom, everything is strong. To live and fight for what is worth dying for, only to die only for what is worth living for.
Gor had a talent for painting from a young age. He was only 3 years old when he started painting. He painted where it was possible, with what it was possible. He painted with chalk, pencil, pen, coal, and even grains of sand. Everyone called it a small encyclopaedia. He attended the first grade at a younger age for the sake of a friend. Gor loved Armenian history very much, he was deepening in the folds of Armenian history…
He was drawing the map of his dreams of a free, independent Armenia. Gor’s goals were endless… he dreamed of establishing a garden, which he partially realized, built a house, renovated the half-destroyed church in his native village of Jiliza. He loved all Armenian films. He loved the works of Paruyr Szak, Hamo Sahyan. He was a supporter of Garegin Nzhdeh. Gor was the talented artist of our small village. Gor’s body is buried in the family cemetery of his native village, next to his father.
