At reArmenia, we consider fundraisers as a form of collaboration. For instance, people around the world do not know much about Armenia or its culture and history. Culture gives nations soft power and influence. This issue must be addressed. Fortunately, there are people that know how to do so.
Armenian Culture with Italian Touch
The Yerevan Biennial Art Foundation (YBAF) is led by Fabio Lenzi, who has been leading art projects for more than a decade. Fabio is a project management, business development, and sales and strategic marketing specialist from Italy, with experience working in different countries before coming to Armenia.
“In the age of globalization, a country like Armenia has a lot to offer to wide audiences, including its own outlook on the world. It is YBAF’s strong belief that a culture like this one deserves to be seen,” shares Fabio.
Armenian artists on Google Arts & Culture
Fabio and his team decided to add Armenian artists on Google Arts & Culture platform to make their works accessible to the world․ The first ones will be Martiros Saryan’s paintings.
“Armenia holds a unique place in world culture, historically being at the crossroads of East and West and uniting the traditions of both, however simultaneously preserving its own authenticity. From visual arts to music and to cinema, with creative geniuses such as Saryan, Komitas, and Parajanov, this culture never fails to amaze with its beauty, diversity, and spirit”, he adds.
The team therefore decided to bring this project to reArmenia as a platform for solving problems in Armenia.
Among other things, reArmenia allows projects to fundraise the money it needs.
“reArmenia’s mission is to unite Armenians all over the world around worthy projects, and it’s hard to think of anything more important for Armenians than their arts and cultural heritage — it’s what constitutes the identity and gives the strength to move forward. Virtual exhibitions are not only a good way to promote ideas and stories, but they also give us the freedom to get really creative with the way we present them,” Fabio explains.
